 34:1 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Hew for thyself two tables of stone, as also the first were, and come up to me to the mountain; and I will write upon the tables the words, which were on the first tables, which thou brokest.

 34:1 ¶ And Yahweh° said°° unto° Moses,° Hew°° thee two° tables° of stone° like unto the first:° and I will write°° upon° [these] tables°° the words° that° were° in° the first° tables,° which° thou brakest.°°

 34:2 And be ready by the morning, and thou shalt go up to the mount Sinai{gr.Sina}, and shalt stand there for me on the top of the mountain.

 34:2 And be° ready°° in the morning,° and come up°° in the morning° unto° mount° Sinai,° and present°° thyself° there° to me in° the top° of the mount.°

 34:3 And let no one go up with thee, nor be seen in all the mountain; and let not the sheep and oxen feed near that mountain.

 34:3 And no° man° shall come up°° with° thee, neither°° let any man° be seen°° throughout all° the mount;° neither°° let the flocks° nor herds° feed°° before°° that° mount.°

 34:4 ¶ And [Mosheh{gr.Moses}] hewed two tables of stone, as also the first were; and Mosheh{gr.Moses} having arisen early, went up to the mount Sinai{gr.Sina}, as the Lord appointed him; and Mosheh{gr.Moses} took the two tables of stone.

 34:4 ¶ And he hewed°° two° tables° of stone° like unto the first;° and Moses° rose up early°° in the morning,° and went up°° unto° mount° Sinai,° as° Yahweh° had commanded°° him, and took°° in his hand° the two° tables° of stone.°

 34:5 And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood near him there, and called by the name of the Lord.

 34:5 And Yahweh° descended°° in the cloud,° and stood°° with° him there,° and proclaimed°° the name° of Yahweh.°

 34:6 And the Lord passed by before his face, and proclaimed, The Lord God, pitiful and merciful, longsuffering and very compassionate, and true,

 34:6 And Yahweh° passed by°° before°° him,° and proclaimed,°° Yahweh,° Yahweh° El,° merciful° and gracious,° longsuffering,°° and abundant° in goodness° and truth,°

 34:7 and keeping justice and mercy for thousands, taking away iniquity, and unrighteousness, and sins; and he will not clear the guilty; bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and to the children's children, to the third and fourth generation.

 34:7 Keeping°° mercy° for thousands,° forgiving°° iniquity° and transgression° and sin,° and that will by no means°° clear°°° [the guilty]; visiting°° the iniquity° of the fathers° upon° the children,° and upon° the children's° children,° unto° the third° and to° the fourth° [generation].

 34:8 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} hasted, and bowed to the earth and worshipped;

 34:8 And Moses° made haste,°° and bowed his head°° toward the earth,° and worshipped.°°

 34:9 and said, If I have found grace before thee, let my Lord go with us; for the people is stiff-necked: and thou shalt take away our sins and our iniquities, and we will be thine.

 34:9 And he said,°° If° now° I have found°° grace° in thy sight,° O Yahweh,° let Yahweh,° I pray thee,° go°°° among° us; for° it° [is] a stiffnecked°° people;° and pardon°° our iniquity° and our sin,° and take us for thine inheritance.°°

 34:10 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Behold, I establish a covenant for thee in the presence of all thy people; I will do glorious things, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation; and all the people among whom thou art shall see the works of the Lord, that they are wonderful, which I will do for thee.

 34:10 ¶ And he said,°° Behold,° I° make°° a covenant:° before° all° thy people° I will do°° marvels,°° such as° have not° been done°° in all° the earth,° nor in any° nation:° and all° the people° among° which° thou° [art] shall see°°° the work° of Yahweh:° for° it° [is] a terrible thing°° that° I° will do°° with° thee.

 34:11 Do thou take heed to all things whatsoever I command thee: behold, I cast out before your face the Amorite and the Canaanite{gr.Chananite} and the Perizzite{gr.Pherezite}, and the Hittite{gr.Chettite}, and Hivite{gr.Evite}, and Girgashite{gr.Gergesite} and Jebusite:

 34:11 Observe°° thou° that which° I° command°° thee this day:° behold,° I drive out°° before°° thee° the Amorite,° and the Canaanite,° and the Hittite,° and the Perizzite,° and the Hivite,° and the Jebusite.°

 34:12 take heed to thyself, lest at any time thou make a covenant with the dwellers on the land, into which thou art entering, lest it be to thee a stumbling-block among you.

 34:12 Take heed°° to thyself, lest° thou make°° a covenant° with the inhabitants°° of the land° whither°° thou° goest,°° lest° it be° for a snare° in the midst° of thee:

 34:13 Ye shall destroy their altars, and break in pieces their pillars, and ye shall cut down their groves, and the graven images of their gods ye shall burn with fire.

 34:13 But° ye shall destroy°°° their altars,° break°° their images,° and cut down°° their groves:°

 34:14 For ye shall not worship strange gods, for the Lord God, a jealous name, is a jealous God;

 34:14 For° thou shalt worship°° no° other° el:° for° Yahweh,° whose name° [is] Jealous,° [is] a jealous° El:°

 34:15 lest at any time thou make a covenant with the dwellers on the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and they call thee, and thou shouldest eat of their feasts,

 34:15 Lest° thou make°° a covenant° with the inhabitants°° of the land,° and they go a whoring°° after° their elohim,° and do sacrifice°° unto their elohim,° and [one] call°° thee, and thou eat°° of his sacrifice;°°

 34:16 and thou shouldest take of their daughters to thy sons, and thou shouldest give of thy daughters to their sons; and thy daughters should go a whoring after their gods, and thy sons should go a whoring after their gods.

 34:16 And thou take°° of their daughters°° unto thy sons,° and their daughters° go a whoring°° after° their elohim,° and make°°° thy sons° go a whoring°° after° their elohim.°

 34:17 And thou shalt not make to thyself molten gods.

 34:17 Thou shalt make°° thee no° molten° elohim.°

 34:18 ¶ And thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have charged thee, at the season in the month of new [corn]; for in the month of new [corn] thou camest out from Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 34:18 ¶ ° The feast° of unleavened bread° shalt thou keep.°° Seven° days° thou shalt eat°° unleavened bread,° as° I commanded°° thee, in the time° of the month° Abib:° for° in the month° Abib° thou camest out°° from Egypt.°°

 34:19 The males [are] mine, everything that opens the womb; every first-born of oxen, and [every] first-born of sheep.

 34:19 All° that openeth° the matrix° [is] mine; and every° firstling° among thy cattle,° [whether] ox° or sheep,° [that is male].°°°

 34:20 And the first-born of an ass thou shalt redeem with a sheep, and if thou wilt not redeem it thou shalt pay a price: every first-born of thy sons shalt thou redeem: thou shalt not appear before me empty.

 34:20 But the firstling° of an ass° thou shalt redeem°° with a lamb:° and if° thou redeem°° [him] not,° then shalt thou break his neck.°° All° the firstborn° of thy sons° thou shalt redeem.°° And none° shall appear°° before° me empty.°

 34:21 ¶ Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: [there shall be] rest in seed-time and harvest.

 34:21 ¶ Six° days° thou shalt work,°° but on the seventh° day° thou shalt rest:°° in earing time° and in harvest° thou shalt rest.°°

 34:22 ¶ And thou shalt keep to me the feast of weeks, the beginning of wheat-harvest; and the feast of ingathering in the middle of the year.

 34:22 ¶ And thou shalt observe°° the feast° of weeks,° of the firstfruits° of wheat° harvest,° and the feast° of ingathering° at the year's° end.°

 34:23 ¶ Three times in the year shall every male of thine appear before the Lord the God of Israel.

 34:23 ¶ Thrice°° in the year° shall all° your men children° appear°°° before° Adon° Yahweh,° the Elohim° of Israel.°

 34:24 For when I shall have cast out the nations before thy face, and shall have enlarged thy coasts, no one shall desire thy land, whenever thou mayest go up to appear before the Lord thy God, three times in the year.

 34:24 For° I will cast out°° the nations° before°° thee, and enlarge°°° thy borders:° neither° shall any man° desire°°° thy land,° when thou shalt go up°° to appear°°° before° Yahweh° thy Elohim° thrice°° in the year.°

 34:25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifices with leaven, neither shall the sacrifices of the feast of the passover remain till the morning.

 34:25 Thou shalt not° offer°° the blood° of my sacrifice° with° leaven;° neither° shall the sacrifice° of the feast° of the passover° be left°° unto the morning.°

 34:26 The first-fruits of thy land shalt thou put into the house of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not boil a lamb in his mother's milk.

 34:26 The first° of the firstfruits° of thy land° thou shalt bring°° unto the house° of Yahweh° thy Elohim.° Thou shalt not° seethe°° a kid° in his mother's° milk.°

 34:27 And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Write these words for thyself, for on these words I have established a covenant with thee and with Israel.

 34:27 And Yahweh° said°° unto° Moses,° Write°° thou° these° words:° for° after° the tenor° of these° words° I have made°° a covenant° with° thee and with° Israel.°

 34:28 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} was there before the Lord forty days, and forty nights; he did not eat bread, and he did not drink water; and he wrote upon the tables these words of the covenant, the ten sayings.

 34:28 And he was° there° with° Yahweh° forty° days° and forty° nights;° he did neither° eat°° bread,° nor° drink°° water.° And he wrote°° upon° the tables°° the words° of the covenant,° the ten° commandments.°

 34:29 ¶ And when Mosheh{gr.Moses} went down from the mountain, [there were] the two tables in the hands of Mosheh{gr.Moses},-- as then he went down from the mountain, Mosheh{gr.Moses} knew not that the appearance of the skin of his face was glorified, when God spoke to him.

 34:29 ¶ And it came to pass,° when Moses° came down°° from mount°° Sinai° with the two° tables° of testimony° in Moses'° hand,° when he came down°° from° the mount,° that Moses° wist°° not° that° the skin° of his face° shone°° while he talked°° with° him.

 34:30 And Aaron and all the elders of Israel saw Mosheh{gr.Moses}, and the appearance of the skin of his face was made glorious, and they feared to approach him.

 34:30 And when Aaron° and all° the children° of Israel° saw°°° Moses,° behold,° the skin° of his face° shone;°° and they were afraid°° to come nigh°°°° him.

 34:31 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} called them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the synagogue turned towards him, and Mosheh{gr.Moses} spoke to them.

 34:31 And Moses° called°° unto° them; and Aaron° and all° the rulers° of the congregation° returned°° unto° him: and Moses° talked°° with° them.

 34:32 And afterwards all the children of Israel came to him, and he commanded them all things, whatsoever the Lord had commanded him in the mount of Sinai{gr.Sina}.

 34:32 And afterward°° all° the children° of Israel° came nigh:°° and he gave them in commandment°°° all° that° Yahweh° had spoken°° with° him in mount° Sinai.°

 34:33 And when he ceased speaking to them, he put a veil on his face.

 34:33 And [till] Moses° had done°° speaking°°° with° them, he put°° a vail° on° his face.°

 34:34 And whenever Mosheh{gr.Moses} went in before the Lord to speak to him, he took off the veil till he went out, and he went forth and spoke to all the children of Israel whatsoever the Lord commanded him.

 34:34 But when Moses° went in°° before° Yahweh° to speak°° with° him, he took°° the vail° off,°°°° until° he came out.°° And he came out,°° and spake°° unto° the children° of Israel°° [that] which° he was commanded.°°

 34:35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Mosheh{gr.Moses}, that it was glorified; and Mosheh{gr.Moses} put the veil over his face, till he went in to speak with him.

 34:35 And the children° of Israel° saw°°° the face° of Moses,° that° the skin° of Moses'° face° shone:°° and Moses° put°°° the vail° upon° his face° again,°° until° he went°° in° to speak°° with° him.
