 6:1 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Now thou shalt see what I will do to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}; for he shall send them forth with a mighty hand, and with a high arm shall he cast them out of his land.

 6:1 ¶ Then Yahwehº saidºº untoº Moses,º Nowº shalt thou seeºº whatº I will doºº to Pharaoh:º forº with a strongº handº shall he let them go,ºº and with a strongº handº shall he drive them outºº of his land.ºº

 6:2 And God spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} and said to him, I [am] the Lord.

 6:2 And Elohimº spakeºº untoº Moses,º and saidºº untoº him, Iº [am] Yahweh:º

 6:3 And I appeared to Abraham{gr.Abraam} and Isaac and Jacob, being their God, but I did not manifest to them my name Lord.

 6:3 And I appearedºº untoº Abraham,º untoº Isaac,º and untoº Jacob,º by [the name of] Elº Shaddai,º but by my nameº YAHWEHº was I notº knownºº to them.

 6:4 And I established my covenant with them, to give them the land of the Canaanites{gr.Chananites}, the land wherein they sojourned, in which also they dwelt as strangers.

 6:4 And I have alsoº establishedººº my covenantº withº them, to giveºº themº the landº of Canaan,ºº the landº of their pilgrimage,º whereinº they were strangers.ºº

 6:5 And I hearkened to the groaning of the children of Israel (the affliction with which the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} enslave them) and I remembered the covenant with you.

 6:5 And Iº have alsoº heardººº the groaningº of the childrenº of Israel,º whomºº the Egyptiansº keep in bondage;ºº and I have rememberedººº my covenant.º

 6:6 Go, speak to the children of Israel, saying, I [am] the Lord; and I will lead you forth from the tyranny of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and I will deliver you from bondage, and I will ransom you with a high arm, and great judgment.

 6:6 Whereforeº sayºº unto the childrenº of Israel,º Iº [am] Yahweh,º and I will bringºº you outºº from underºº the burdensº of the Egyptians,º and I will ridºº you out of their bondage,ºº and I will redeemºº you with a stretchedºº outº arm,º and with greatº judgments:º

 6:7 And I will take you to me a people for myself, and will be your God; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the tyranny of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}.

 6:7 And I will takeºº you to me for a people,º and I will beº to you an Elohim:º and ye shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yahwehº your Elohim,º which bringethºº you outºº from underºº the burdensº of the Egyptians.º

 6:8 And I will bring you into the land concerning which I stretched out my hand to give it to Abraham{gr.Abraam} and Isaac and Jacob, and I will give it you for an inheritance: I [am] the Lord.

 6:8 And I will bringºº you inºº untoº the land,º concerning the whichº I did swearºººº to giveºº it to Abraham,º to Isaac,º and to Jacob;º and I will giveºº it you for an heritage:º Iº [am] Yahweh.º

 6:9 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} spoke thus to the sons of Israel, and they hearkened not to Mosheh{gr.Moses} for faint-heartedness, and for their hard tasks.

 6:9 ¶ And Mosesº spakeºº soº untoº the childrenº of Israel:º but they hearkenedºº notº untoº Mosesº for anguishºº of spirit,º and for cruelº bondage.ººº

 6:10 And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying,

 6:10 And Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Moses,º saying,ºº

 6:11 Go in, speak to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, that he send forth the children of Israel out of his land.

 6:11 Goºº in,º speakºº untoº Pharaohº kingº of Egypt,º that he letº the childrenº of Israelº goº outºº of his land.ºº

 6:12 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} spoke before the Lord, saying, Behold, the children of Israel hearkened not to me, and how shall Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} hearken to me? and I am not eloquent.

 6:12 And Mosesº spakeºº beforeº Yahweh,º saying,ºº Behold,º the childrenº of Israelº have notº hearkenedºº untoº me; howº then shall Pharaohº hearºº me,º whoº [am] of uncircumcisedº lips?º

 6:13 And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron, and gave them a charge to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, that he should send forth the children of Israel out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 6:13 And Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Mosesº and untoº Aaron,º and gave them a chargeºº untoº the childrenº of Israel,º and untoº Pharaohº kingº of Egypt,º to bringººº the childrenº of Israelº out of the landºº of Egypt.º

 6:14 ¶ And these are the heads of the houses of their families: the sons of Reuben{gr.Ruben} the first-born of Israel; Enoch and Phallus, Asron, and Carmi{gr.Charmi}, this is the kindred of Reuben{gr.Ruben}.

 6:14 ¶ Theseº [be] the headsº of their fathers'º houses:º The sonsº of Reubenº the firstbornº of Israel;º Hanoch,º and Pallu,º Hezron,º and Carmi:º theseº [be] the familiesº of Reuben.º

 6:15 And the sons of Simeon{gr.Symeon}, Jemuel and Jamin, and Ehud{gr.Aod}, and Jachin and Saar, and Saul the son of a Zidonian{gr.Phoenician} woman, these are the families of the sons of Simeon{gr.Symeon}.

 6:15 And the sonsº of Simeon;º Jemuel,º and Jamin,º and Ohad,º and Jachin,º and Zohar,º and Shaulº the sonº of a Canaanitish woman:º theseº [are] the familiesº of Simeon.º

 6:16 ¶ And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their kindreds, Gershom{gr.Gedson}, Kohath{gr.Caath}, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were a hundred and thirty-seven.

 6:16 ¶ And theseº [are] the namesº of the sonsº of Leviº according to their generations;º Gershon,º and Kohath,º and Merari:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of Leviº [were] an hundredº thirtyº and sevenº years.º

 6:17 And these are the sons of Gershom{gr.Gedson}, Libni{gr.Lobeni} and Shimei{gr.Semei}, the houses of their family. And the sons of Kohath{gr.Caath},

 6:17 The sonsº of Gershon;º Libni,º and Shimi,º according to their families.º

 6:18 Amram{gr.Ambram} and Izhar{gr.Issaar}, Hebron{gr.Chebron}, and Uzziel{gr.Oziel}; and the years of the life of Kohath{gr.Caath} were a hundred and thirty-three years.

 6:18 And the sonsº of Kohath;º Amram,º and Izhar,º and Hebron,º and Uzziel:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of Kohathº [were] an hundredº thirtyº and threeº years.º

 6:19 And the sons of Merari, Mahli{gr.Mooli}, and Omusi, these are the houses of the families of Levi, according to their kindreds.

 6:19 And the sonsº of Merari;º Mahaliº and Mushi:º theseº [are] the familiesº of Leviº according to their generations.º

 6:20 And Amram{gr.Ambram} took to wife Jochabed the daughter of his father's brother, and she bore to him both Aaron and Mosheh{gr.Moses}, and Miriam{gr.Mariam} their sister: and the years of the life of Amram{gr.Ambram} were a hundred and thirty-two years.

 6:20 And Amramº tookºº himº Jochebedº his father's sisterº to wife;º and she bareºº himº Aaronº and Moses:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of Amramº [were] an hundredº and thirtyº and sevenº years.º

 6:21 ¶ And the sons of Izhar{gr.Issaar}, Korah{gr.Core}, and Naphec, and Zichri{gr.Zechri}.

 6:21 ¶ And the sonsº of Izhar;º Korah,º and Nepheg,º and Zichri.º

 6:22 And the sons of Uzziel{gr.Oziel}, Mishael{gr.Misael}, and Elzaphan{gr.Elisaphan}, and Segri.

 6:22 And the sonsº of Uzziel;º Mishael,º and Elzaphan,º and Zithri.º

 6:23 And Aaron took to himself to wife Elisabeth daughter of Amminadab{gr.Aminadab} sister of Nahshon{gr.Naasson}, and she bore to him both Nadab and Abihu{gr.Abiud}, and Eleazar and Ithamar.

 6:23 And Aaronº tookºº himº Elisheba,º daughterº of Amminadab,º sisterº of Naashon,º to wife;º and she bareºº himº Nadab,º and Abihu,ºº Eleazar,º and Ithamar.º

 6:24 And the sons of Korah{gr.Core}, Asir, and Elkana, and Abiasar, these are the generations of Korah{gr.Core}.

 6:24 And the sonsº of Korah;º Assir,º and Elkanah,º and Abiasaph:º theseº [are] the familiesº of the Korhites.º

 6:25 And Eleazar the son of Aaron took to himself for a wife [one] of the daughters of Phutiel, and she bore to him Phinehas{gr.Phinees}. These are the heads of the family of the Levites, according to their generations.

 6:25 And Eleazarº Aaron'sº sonº tookºº him [one] of the daughtersºº of Putielº to wife;º and she bareºº himº Phinehas:º theseº [are] the headsº of the fathersº of the Levitesº according to their families.º

 6:26 This is Aaron and Mosheh{gr.Moses}, whom God told to bring out the children of Israel out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} with their forces.

 6:26 Theseº [are] that Aaronº and Moses,º to whomº Yahwehº said,ºº Bring outººº the childrenº of Israelº from the landºº of Egyptº according toº their armies.º

 6:27 These are they that spoke with Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and Aaron himself and Mosheh{gr.Moses} brought out the children of Israel from the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt},

 6:27 Theseº [are] they which spakeºº toº Pharaohº kingº of Egypt,º to bring outººº the childrenº of Israelº from Egypt:ºº these [are] thatº Mosesº and Aaron.º

 6:28 ¶ in the day in which the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} in the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt};

 6:28 ¶ And it came to passº on the dayº [when] Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Mosesº in the landº of Egypt,º

 6:29 then the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, I am the Lord: speak to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} whatsoever I say to thee.

 6:29 That Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Moses,º saying,ºº Iº [am] Yahweh:º speakºº thou untoº Pharaohº kingº of Egyptºº allº thatº Iº sayºº untoº thee.

 6:30 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said before the Lord, Behold, I am not able in speech, and how shall Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} hearken to me?

 6:30 And Mosesº saidºº beforeº Yahweh,º Behold,º Iº [am] of uncircumcisedº lips,º and howº shall Pharaohº hearkenºº untoº me?
