 8:1 ¶ And God remembered Noah{gr.Noe}, and all the wild beasts, and all the cattle, and all the birds, and all the reptiles that creep, as many as were with him in the ark, and God brought a wind upon the earth, and the water stayed.

 8:1 ¶ And Elohimº rememberedººº Noah,º and everyº living thing,º and allº the cattleº thatº [was] withº him in the ark:º and Elohimº madeºº a windº to passºº overº the earth,º and the watersº asswaged;ºº

 8:2 And the fountains of the deep were closed up, and the flood-gates of heaven, and the rain from heaven was withheld.

 8:2 The fountainsº also of the deepº and the windowsº of heavenº were stopped,ºº and the rainº fromº heavenº was restrained;ºº

 8:3 And the water subsided, and went off the earth, and after an hundred and fifty days the water was diminished, and the ark rested in the seventh month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

 8:3 And the watersº returnedºº from offºº the earthº continually:ººº and after the endºº of the hundredº and fiftyº daysº the watersº were abated.ºº

 8:4 And the water continued to decrease until the tenth month.

 8:4 And the arkº restedºº in the seventhº month,º on the seventeenthºº dayº of the month,º uponº the mountainsº of Ararat.º

 8:5 And in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the heads of the mountains were seen.

 8:5 And the watersº decreasedºº continuallyººº untilº the tenthº month:º in the tenthº [month], on the firstº [day] of the month,º were the topsº of the mountainsº seen.ºº

 8:6 ¶ And it came to pass after forty days Noah{gr.Noe} opened the window of the ark which he had made.

 8:6 ¶ And it came to passº at the endºº of fortyº days,º that Noahº openedººº the windowº of the arkº whichº he had made:ºº

 8:7 And he sent forth a raven; and it went forth and returned not until the water was dried from off the earth.

 8:7 And he sent forthººº a raven,º which went forthºº toºº and fro,ººº untilº the watersº were dried upºº from offºº the earth.º

 8:8 And he sent a dove after it to see if the water had ceased from off the earth.

 8:8 Also he sent forthººº a doveº fromºº him, to seeºº if the watersº were abatedºº from offºº the faceº of the ground;º

 8:9 And the dove not having found rest for her feet, returned to him into the ark, because the water was on all the face of the earth, and he stretched out his hand and took her, and brought her to himself into the ark.

 8:9 But the doveº foundºº noº restº for the soleº of her foot,º and she returnedºº untoº him intoº the ark,º forº the watersº [were] onº the faceº of the wholeº earth:º then he put forthºº his hand,º and tookº her,ºº and pulled her inººº untoº him intoº the ark.º

 8:10 And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the dove from the ark.

 8:10 And he stayedºº yetº otherº sevenº days;º and againºº he sent forthººº the doveº out ofº the ark;º

 8:11 And the dove returned to him in the evening, and had a leaf of olive, a sprig in her mouth; and Noah{gr.Noe} knew that the water had ceased from off the earth.

 8:11 And the doveº came inºº toº him inº the evening;ºº and, lo,º in her mouthº [was] an oliveº leafº pluckt off:º so Noahº knewºº thatº the watersº were abatedºº from offºº the earth.º

 8:12 And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the dove, and she did not return to him again any more.

 8:12 And he stayedºº yetº otherº sevenº days;º and sent forthººº the dove;º which returnedºº notº againºº untoº him any more.º

 8:13 ¶ And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year of the life of Noah{gr.Noe}, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the water subsided from off the earth, and Noah{gr.Noe} opened the covering of the ark which he had made, and he saw that the water had subsided from the face of the earth.

 8:13 ¶ And it came to passº in the sixº hundredthº and firstº year,º in the firstº [month], the firstº [day] of the month,º the watersº were dried upºº from offºº the earth:º and Noahº removedººº the coveringº of the ark,º and looked,ºº and, behold,º the faceº of the groundº was dry.ºº

 8:14 And in the second month the earth was dried, on the twenty-seventh day of the month.

 8:14 And in the secondº month,º on the sevenº and twentiethº dayº of the month,º was the earthº dried.ºº

 8:15 ¶ And the Lord God spoke to Noah{gr.Noe}, saying,

 8:15 ¶ And Elohimº spakeºº untoº Noah,º saying,ºº

 8:16 Come out from the ark, thou and thy wife and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.

 8:16 Go forthºº ofº the ark,º thou,º and thy wife,º and thy sons,º and thy sons'º wivesº withº thee.

 8:17 And all the wild beasts as many as are with thee, and all flesh both of birds and beasts, and every reptile moving upon the earth, bring forth with thee: and increase ye and multiply upon the earth.

 8:17 Bring forthºº withº thee everyº living thingº thatº [is] withº thee, of allºº flesh,º [both] of fowl,º and of cattle,º and of everyº creeping thingº that creepethºº uponº the earth;º that they may breed abundantlyºº in the earth,º and be fruitful,ºº and multiplyºº uponº the earth.º

 8:18 And Noah{gr.Noe} came forth, and his wife and his sons, and his sons' wives with him.

 8:18 And Noahº went forth,ºº and his sons,º and his wife,º and his sons'º wivesº withº him:

 8:19 And all the wild beasts and all the cattle and every bird, and every reptile creeping upon the earth after their kind, came forth out of the ark.

 8:19 Everyº beast,º everyº creeping thing,º and everyº fowl,º [and] whatsoeverº creepethºº uponº the earth,º after their kinds,º went forthºº out ofº the ark.º

 8:20 ¶ And Noah{gr.Noe} built an altar to the Lord, and took of all clean beasts, and of all clean birds, and offered a whole burnt-offering upon the altar.

 8:20 ¶ And Noahº buildedºº an altarº unto Yahweh;º and tookºº of everyºº cleanº beast,º and of everyºº cleanº fowl,º and offeredºº burnt offeringsº on the altar.º

 8:21 And the Lord God smelled a smell of sweetness, and the Lord God having considered, said, I will not any more curse the earth, because of the works of men, because the imagination of man is intently bent upon evil things from his youth, I will not therefore any more smite all living flesh as I have done.

 8:21 And Yahwehº smelledºº a sweetºº savour;º and Yahwehº saidºº inº his heart,º I will notº againºº curseººº the groundº any moreº for man'sº sake;ºº forº the imaginationº of man'sº heartº [is] evilº from his youth;ºº neitherº will I againºº smiteºº any moreºº every thingº living,º asº I have done.ºº

 8:22 All the days of the earth, seed and harvest, cold and heat, summer and spring, shall not cease by day or night.

 8:22 Whileº the earthº remaineth,ºº seedtimeº and harvest,º and coldº and heat,º and summerº and winter,º and dayº and nightº shall notº cease.ºº
