 9:1 ¶
And God blessed Noah{gr.Noe} and his sons, and said to them, Increase and multiply, and fill the earth and have dominion over it. |
|
 9:1 ¶
And Elohimº
blessedººº
Noahº
and his sons,º
and saidºº
unto them, Be fruitful,ºº
and multiply,ºº
and replenishººº
the earth.º |
 9:2
And the dread and the fear of you shall be upon all the wild beasts of the earth, on all the birds of the sky, and on all things moving upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea, I have placed them under you power. |
|
 9:2
And the fearº
of youº
and the dreadº
of youº
shall beº
uponº
everyº
beastº
of the earth,º
and uponº
everyº
fowlº
of the air,º
upon allº
thatº
movethºº
[upon] the earth,º
and upon allº
the fishesº
of the sea;º
into your handº
are they delivered.ºº |
 9:3
And every reptile which is living shall be to you for meat, I have given all things to you as the green herbs. |
|
 9:3
Everyº
moving thingº
thatº
livethº
shall beº
meatº
for you; even as the greenº
herbº
have I givenºº
youº
all things.º |
 9:4
But flesh with blood of life ye shall not eat. |
|
 9:4
Butº
fleshº
with the lifeº
thereof, [which is] the bloodº
thereof, shall ye notº
eat.ºº |
 9:5
For your blood of your lives will I require at the hand of all wild beasts, and I will require the life of man at the hand of [his] brother man. |
|
 9:5
And surelyºº
your bloodº
of your livesº
will I require;ºº
at the handºº
of everyº
beastº
will I requireº
it,ºº
and at the handºº
of man;º
at the handºº
of every man'sº
brotherº
will I requireººº
the lifeº
of man.º |
 9:6
He that sheds man's blood, instead of that blood shall his own be shed, for in the image of God I made man. |
|
 9:6
Whoso sheddethºº
man'sº
blood,º
by manº
shall his bloodº
be shed:ºº
forº
in the imageº
of Elohimº
madeºº
heº
man.º |
 9:7
But do ye increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and have dominion over it. |
|
 9:7
And you,º
be ye fruitful,ºº
and multiply;ºº
bring forth abundantlyºº
in the earth,º
and multiplyºº
therein. |
 9:8 ¶
And God spoke to Noah{gr.Noe}, and to his sons with him, saying, |
|
 9:8 ¶
And Elohimº
spakeºº
untoº
Noah,º
and toº
his sonsº
withº
him, saying,ºº |
 9:9
And behold I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you, |
|
 9:9
And I,º
behold,º
I establishººº
my covenantº
withº
you, and withº
your seedº
afterº
you;º |
 9:10
and with every living creature with you, of birds and of beasts, and with all the wild beasts of the earth, as many as are with you, of all that come out of the ark. |
|
 9:10
And withº
everyº
livingº
creatureº
thatº
[is] withº
you, of the fowl,º
of the cattle,º
and of everyº
beastº
of the earthº
withº
you; from allºº
that go outºº
of the ark,º
to everyº
beastº
of the earth.º |
 9:11
And I will establish my covenant with you and all flesh shall not any more die by the water of the flood, and there shall no more be a flood of water to destroy all the earth. |
|
 9:11
And I will establishººº
my covenantº
withº
you; neitherº
shall allº
fleshº
be cut offºº
any moreº
by the watersºº
of a flood;º
neitherº
shall there any moreº
beº
a floodº
to destroyºº
the earth.º |
 9:12
And the Lord God said to Noah{gr.Noe}, This [is] the sign of the covenant which I set between me and you, and between every living creature which is with you for perpetual generations. |
|
 9:12
And Elohimº
said,ºº
Thisº
[is] the tokenº
of the covenantº
whichº
Iº
makeºº
betweenº
me and you and everyº
livingº
creatureº
thatº
[is] withº
you, for perpetualº
generations:º |
 9:13
I set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of covenant between me and the earth. |
|
 9:13
I do setººº
my bowº
in the cloud,º
and it shall beº
for a tokenº
of a covenantº
betweenº
me and the earth.º |
 9:14
And it shall be when I gather clouds upon the earth, that my bow shall be seen in the cloud. |
|
 9:14
And it shall come to pass,º
when I bringºº
a cloudº
overº
the earth,º
that the bowº
shall be seenºº
in the cloud:º |
 9:15
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you, and between every living soul in all flesh, and there shall no longer be water for a deluge, so as to blot out all flesh. |
|
 9:15
And I will rememberººº
my covenant,º
whichº
[is] betweenº
me and you and everyº
livingº
creatureº
of allº
flesh;º
and the watersº
shall noº
moreº
becomeº
a floodº
to destroyºº
allº
flesh.º |
 9:16
And my bow shall be in the cloud, and I will look to remember the everlasting covenant between me and the earth, and between [every] living soul in all flesh, which is upon the earth. |
|
 9:16
And the bowº
shall beº
in the cloud;º
and I will look uponº
it,ºº
that I may rememberºº
the everlastingº
covenantº
betweenº
Elohimº
andº
everyº
livingº
creatureº
of allº
fleshº
thatº
[is] uponº
the earth.º |
 9:17
And God said to Noah{gr.Noe}, This [is] the sign of the covenant, which I have made between me and all flesh, which is upon the earth. |
|
 9:17
And Elohimº
saidºº
untoº
Noah,º
Thisº
[is] the tokenº
of the covenant,º
whichº
I have establishedºº
betweenº
me and allº
fleshº
thatº
[is] uponº
the earth.º |
 9:18 ¶
Now the sons of Noah{gr.Noe} which came out of the ark, were Shem{gr.Sem}, Ham{gr.Cham}, Japheth. And Ham{gr.Cham} was father of Canaan{gr.Chanaan}. |
|
 9:18 ¶
And the sonsº
of Noah,º
that went forthºº
ofº
the ark,º
wereº
Shem,º
and Ham,º
and Japheth:º
and Hamºº
[is] the fatherº
of Canaan.º |
 9:19
These three are the sons of Noah{gr.Noe}, of these were men scattered over all the earth. |
|
 9:19
Theseº
[are] the threeº
sonsº
of Noah:º
and of themºº
was the wholeº
earthº
overspread.ºº |
 9:20
And Noah{gr.Noe} began to be a husbandman, and he planted a vineyard. |
|
 9:20
And Noahº
beganºº
[to be] an husbandman,ºº
and he plantedºº
a vineyard:º |
 9:21
And he drank of the wine, and was drunk, and was naked in his house. |
|
 9:21
And he drankºº
ofº
the wine,º
and was drunken;ºº
and he was uncoveredºº
withinº
his tent.º |
 9:22
And Ham{gr.Cham} the father of Canaan{gr.Chanaan} saw the nakedness of his father, and he went out and told his two brothers without. |
|
 9:22
And Ham,º
the fatherº
of Canaan,º
sawººº
the nakednessº
of his father,º
and toldºº
his twoº
brethrenº
without.º |
 9:23
And Shem{gr.Sem} and Japheth having taken a garment, put it on both their backs and went backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their face [was] backward, and they saw not the nakedness of their father. |
|
 9:23
And Shemº
and Japhethº
tookººº
a garment,º
and laidºº
[it] uponº
bothº
their shoulders,º
and wentººº
backward,º
and coveredººº
the nakednessº
of their father;º
and their facesº
[were] backward,º
and they sawºº
notº
their father'sº
nakedness.º |
 9:24
And Noah{gr.Noe} recovered from the wine, and knew all that his younger son had done to him. |
|
 9:24
And Noahº
awokeºº
from his wine,ºº
and knewººº
whatº
his youngerº
sonº
had doneºº
unto him. |
 9:25
And he said, Cursed be the servant Canaan{gr.Chanaan}, a slave shall he be to his brethren. |
|
 9:25
And he said,ºº
Cursedºº
[be] Canaan;º
a servantº
of servantsº
shall he beº
unto his brethren.º |
 9:26
And he said, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Shem{gr.Sem}, and Canaan{gr.Chanaan} shall be his bond-servant. |
|
 9:26
And he said,ºº
Blessedºº
[be] Yahwehº
Elohimº
of Shem;º
and Canaanº
shall beºº
his servant.º |
 9:27
May God make room for Japheth, and let him dwell in the habitations of Shem{gr.Sem}, and let Canaan{gr.Chanaan} be his servant. |
|
 9:27
Elohimº
shall enlargeºº
Japheth,º
and he shall dwellºº
in the tentsº
of Shem;º
and Canaanº
shall beº
his servant.º |
 9:28 ¶
And Noah{gr.Noe} lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. |
|
 9:28 ¶
And Noahº
livedºº
afterº
the floodº
threeº
hundredºº
and fiftyº
years.º |
 9:29
And all the days of Noah{gr.Noe} were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died. |
|
 9:29
And allº
the daysº
of Noahº
wereº
nineº
hundredºº
and fiftyº
years:º
and he died.ºº |
