  61:1 ¶
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken in heart, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind; |

Yahwehº
[is] uponº
me; becauseº
Yahwehº
hath anointedºº
me to preach good tidingsºº
unto the meek;º
he hath sentºº
me to bind upºº
the brokenhearted,ººº
to proclaimºº
libertyº
to the captives,ºº
and the opening of the prisonº
to [them that are] bound;ºº |

to declare the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of recompence; to comfort all that mourn; |

the acceptableº
yearº
of Yahweh,º
and the dayº
of vengeanceº
of our Elohim;º
to comfortºº
allº
that mourn;º |

61:3
that there should be given to them that mourn in Zion{gr.Sion} glory instead of ashes, the oil of joy to the mourners, the garment of glory for the spirit of heaviness: and they shall be called generations of righteousness, the planting of the Lord for glory. |

unto them that mournº
in Zion,º
to giveºº
unto them beautyº
forº
ashes,º
the oilº
of joyº
forº
mourning,º
the garmentº
of praiseº
forº
the spiritº
of heaviness;º
that they might be calledºº
treesº
of righteousness,º
the plantingº
of Yahweh,º
that he might be glorified.ºº |

61:4 ¶
And they shall build the old waste places, they shall raise up those that were before made desolate, and shall renew the desert cities, [even] those that had been desolate for [many] generations. |

And they shall buildºº
the oldº
wastes,º
they shall raise upºº
the formerº
desolations,ºº
and they shall repairºº
the wasteº
cities,º
the desolationsºº
of manyº
generations.º |

61:5
And strangers shall come and feed thy flocks, and aliens [shall be thy] ploughmen and vine-dressers. |

And strangersºº
shall standºº
and feedºº
your flocks,º
and the sonsº
of the alienº
[shall be] your plowmenº
and your vinedressers.º |

61:6
But ye shall be called priests of the Lord, the ministers of God: ye shall eat the strength of nations, and shall be admired because of their wealth. |

But yeº
shall be namedºº
the Priestsº
of Yahweh:º
[men] shall callºº
you the Ministersºº
of our Elohim:º
ye shall eatºº
the richesº
of the Gentiles,º
and in their gloryº
shall ye boastºº
yourselves.º |

61:7 ¶
Thus shall they inherit the land a second time, and everlasting joy shall be upon their head. |

Forº
your shameº
[ye shall have] double;º
and [for] confusionº
they shall rejoiceºº
in their portion:º
thereforeº
in their landº
they shall possessºº
the double:º
everlastingº
joyº
shall beº
unto them. |

61:8
For I am the Lord who love righteousness, and hate robberies of injustice; and I will give their labour to the just, and will make an everlasting covenant with them. |

Iº
Yahwehº
loveºº
judgment,º
I hateºº
robberyº
for burnt offering;º
and I will directºº
their workº
in truth,º
and I will makeºº
an everlastingº
covenantº
with them. |

61:9
And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring in the midst of peoples: every one that sees them shall take notice of them, that they are a seed blessed of God; |

And their seedº
shall be knownºº
among the Gentiles,º
and their offspringº
amongº
the people:º
allº
that seeºº
them shall acknowledgeºº
them, thatº
theyº
[are] the seedº
[which] Yahwehº
hath blessed.ºº |

61:10
and they shall greatly rejoice in the Lord. Let my soul rejoice in the Lord; for he has clothed me with the robe of salvation, and the garment of joy: he has put a mitre on me as on a bridegroom, and adorned me with ornaments as a bride. |

I will greatlyºº
rejoiceºº
in Yahweh,º
my soulº
shall be joyfulºº
in my Elohim;º
forº
he hath clothedºº
me with the garmentsº
of salvation,º
he hath coveredºº
me with the robeº
of righteousness,º
as a bridegroomº
deckethºº
[himself] with ornaments,º
and as a brideº
adornethºº
[herself] with her jewels.º |

61:11
And as the earth putting forth her flowers, and as a garden its seed; so shall the Lord, [even] the Lord, cause righteousness to spring forth, and exultation before all nations. |

Forº
as the earthº
bringeth forthºº
her bud,º
and as the gardenº
causeth the things that are sownº
in it to spring forth;ºº
soº
Adonaiº
Yahwehº
will cause righteousnessº
and praiseº
to spring forthºº
beforeº
allº
the nations.º |
