And she bare him Zimran, and Yoqshan, and Medan, and Midyan, and Yishbaq, and Shuach. |

And the sons°

And Yoqshan begat Sheva, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Ashshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. |

עֵפֶר,°
and
Çánöȼ
חֲנֹך,°

these°
[were] the children°

And the sons of Midyan; Efah, and Efer, and Chanokh, and Avida, and Eldaah. All these [were] the children of Qeturah. |

And

he had unto
Yixçäk
יִצחָק.° |

And Avraham gave all that he had unto Yitzchaq. |

But unto the sons°
of the concubines,°

´Avrähäm

´Avrähäm

gave°°
gifts,°
and sent them away°°
from°°
Yixçäk
יִצחָק°
his son,°
while he yet°
lived,°
eastward,°
unto°
the east°
country.° |

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Avraham had, Avraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Yitzchaq his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country. |

[are] the days°
of the years°
of
´Avrähäm's

he lived,°°°
an hundred°°
threescore and fifteen°°°

And his sons Yitzchaq and Yishmael buried him in the cave of Makhpelah, in the field of Efron the son of Tzochar the Chitti, which [is] before Mamre; |

And it came to pass after the death of Avraham, that Elohim blessed his son Yitzchaq; and Yitzchaq dwelt by the well Lachay-Roi. |

Now these [are] the generations of Yishmael, Avraham's son, whom Hagar the Mitzri, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Avraham: |

by their names,°
according to their generations:°

and he gave up the ghost°°

And they dwelt from Chawilah unto Shur, that [is] before Mitzrayim, as thou goest toward Ashshur: [and] he died in the presence of all his brethren. |

And Yitzchaq was forty years old when he took Rivqah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Arammi of Paddan-Aram, the sister to Lavan the Arammi. |

his wife,°

she°
[was] barren:°

of him, and

And Yitzchaq intreated Yahweh for his wife, because she [was] barren: and Yahweh was intreated of him, and Rivqah his wife conceived. |

And the children°
struggled together°°
within°
her;°
and she said,°°
If°
[it be] so,°
why°
[am] I°
thus?°
And she went°°°
to enquire°°
of°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why [am] I thus? And she went to enquire of Yahweh. |

יָהוֶה°

unto her, Two°
nations°
[are] in thy womb,°
and two°
manner°
of people°
shall be separated°°
from thy bowels;°°
and [the one] people°
shall be stronger°°
than [the other] people;°°
and the elder°
shall serve°°
the younger.° |

And Yahweh said unto her, Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and the elder shall serve the younger. |

25:24 ¶
And when her days°
to be delivered°°
were fulfilled,°°
behold,°
[there were] twins°
in her womb.° |

25:24 ¶
And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, [there were] twins in her womb. |

And the first°
came out°°
red,°
all over°
like an hairy°
garment;°
and they called°°
his name°

עֵשָׂו.° |

And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esaw. |

his brother°

and his hand°
took hold°°

`Ëŝäw's
עֵשָׂו°
heel;°
and his name°

יַעֲקֹב:°

[was] threescore°
years°
old°
when she bare°°
them. |

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esaw's heel; and his name was called Yaaqov: and Yitzchaq [was] threescore years old when she bare them. |

And the boys°
grew:°°
and
`Ëŝäw
עֵשָׂו°
was°
a cunning°°
hunter,°
a man°
of the field;°
and
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹב°
[was] a plain°
man,°
dwelling°°
in tents.° |

And the boys grew: and Esaw was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Yaaqov [was] a plain man, dwelling in tents. |

he did eat°
of [his] venison:°
but
Rivkà
רִבקָה°

And Yitzchaq loved Esaw, because he did eat of [his] venison: but Rivqah loved Yaaqov. |

came°°
from°
the field,°
and he°
[was] faint:° |

25:29 ¶
And Yaaqov sod pottage: and Esaw came from the field, and he [was] faint: |

Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹב,°
Feed°°
me, I pray thee,°
with°
that same°°
red°
[pottage]; for°
I°
[am] faint:°
therefore°°
was his name°

אֱדוֹם.° |

And Esaw said to Yaaqov, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom. |

Sell°°
me this day°°
thy birthright.° |

25:31
And Yaaqov said, Sell me this day thy birthright. |

עֵשָׂו°

Behold,°
I°
[am] at the point°°
to die:°°
and what profit°
shall this°
birthright°
do to me? |

And Esaw said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? |

Swear°°
to me this day;°
and he sware°°
unto him: and he sold°°°
his birthright°

And Yaaqov said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Yaaqov. |

of lentiles;°
and he did eat°°
and drink,°°
and rose up,°°

Then Yaaqov gave Esaw bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esaw despised [his] birthright. |
