 108:1 ¶
[[Song of a Psalm by David.]] O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and sing psalms with my glory. |
|
 108:1 ¶
[[A Songº
[or] Psalmº
of David.]]º
O Elohim,º
my heartº
is fixed;ºº
I will singºº
and give praise,ºº
evenº
with my glory.º |
 108:2
Awake, psaltery and harp; I will awake early. |
|
 108:2
Awake,ºº
psalteryº
and harp:º
I [myself] will awakeºº
early.º |
 108:3
I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, among the people; I will sing praise to thee among the Gentiles. |
|
 108:3
I will praiseºº
thee, O Yahweh,º
among the people:º
and I will sing praisesºº
unto thee among the nations.º |
 108:4
For thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth [reaches] to the clouds. |
|
 108:4
Forº
thy mercyº
[is] greatº
aboveºº
the heavens:º
and thy truthº
[reacheth] untoº
the clouds.º |
 108:5
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; and thy glory above all the earth. |
|
 108:5
Be thou exalted,ºº
O Elohim,º
aboveº
the heavens:º
and thy gloryº
aboveº
allº
the earth;º |
 108:6
That thy beloved [ones] may be delivered, save with thy right hand, and hear me. God has spoken in his sanctuary; |
|
 108:6
Thatº
thy belovedº
may be delivered:ºº
saveºº
[with] thy right hand,º
and answerºº
me. |
 108:7
I will be exalted, and will divide Shechem{gr.Sicima}, and will measure out the valley of tents. |
|
 108:7
Elohimº
hath spokenºº
in his holiness;º
I will rejoice,ºº
I will divideºº
Shechem,º
and mete outºº
the valleyº
of Succoth.º |
 108:8
Gilead{gr.Galaad} is mine; and Manasseh{gr.Manasses} is mine; and Ephraim is the help of mine head; Judah{gr.Judas} is my king; |
|
 108:8
Gileadº
[is] mine; Manassehº
[is] mine; Ephraimº
also [is] the strengthº
of mine head;º
Judahº
[is] my lawgiver;ºº |
 108:9
Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Edom{gr.Idumea} will I cast my sandal; the Philistines are made subject to me. |
|
 108:9
Moabº
[is] my washpot;ºº
overº
Edomº
will I cast outºº
my shoe;º
overº
Philistiaº
will I triumph.ºº |
 108:10
Who will bring me into the fortified city? or who will guide me to Edom{gr.Idumea}? |
|
 108:10
Whoº
will bringºº
me into the strongº
city?º
whoº
will leadºº
me intoº
Edom?º |
 108:11
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast rejected us? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts? |
|
 108:11
[Wilt] notº
[thou], O Elohim,º
[who] hast cast us off?ºº
and wilt notº
thou, O Elohim,º
go forthºº
with our hosts?º |
 108:12
Give us help from tribulation: for vain is the help of man. |
|
 108:12
Giveºº
us helpº
from trouble:ºº
for vainº
[is] the helpº
of man.º |
 108:13
Through God we shall do valiantly; and he will bring to nought our enemies. |
|
 108:13
Through Elohimº
we shall doºº
valiantly:º
for heº
[it is that] shall tread downºº
our enemies.º |
