 149:1 ¶ [[Hallelujah{gr.Alleluia}.]] Sing to the Lord a new song: his praise is in the assembly of the saints.

 149:1 ¶ Praiseºº ye Yah.º Singºº unto Yahwehº a newº song,º [and] his praiseº in the congregationº of saints.º

 149:2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him; and let the children of Zion{gr.Sion} exult in their king.

 149:2 Let Israelº rejoiceºº in him that madeºº him: let the childrenº of Zionº be joyfulºº in their King.º

 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sings praises to him with timbrel and psaltery.

 149:3 Let them praiseºº his nameº in the dance:º let them sing praisesºº unto him with the timbrelº and harp.º

 149:4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; and will exalt the meek with salvation.

 149:4 Forº Yahwehº taketh pleasureºº in his people:º he will beautifyºº the meekº with salvation.º

 149:5 The saints shall rejoice in glory; and shall exult on their beds.

 149:5 Let the saintsº be joyfulºº in glory:º let them sing aloudºº uponº their beds.º

 149:6 The high praises of God shall be in their throat, and two-edged swords in their hands;

 149:6 [Let] the highºº [praises] of Elº [be] in their mouth,º and a twoedgedº swordº in their hand;º

 149:7 to execute vengeance on the nations, [and] punishments among the peoples;

 149:7 To executeºº vengeanceº upon the heathen,º [and] punishmentsº upon the people;º

 149:8 to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron;

 149:8 To bindºº their kingsº with chains,º and their noblesºº with fettersº of iron;º

 149:9 to execute on them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints.

 149:9 To executeºº upon them the judgmentº written:ºº thisº honourº have allº his saints.º Praiseºº ye Yah.º
