 15:1 ¶ The burdenº of Mô´äv מוֹאָב.º Becauseº in the nightº `Är עָרº of Mô´äv מוֹאָבº is laid waste,ºº [and] brought to silence;ºº becauseº in the nightº Kîr קִירº of Mô´äv מוֹאָבº is laid waste,ºº [and] brought to silence;ºº

 15:1 ¶ The burden of Moav. Because in the night Ar of Moav is laid waste, [and] brought to silence; because in the night Qir of Moav is laid waste, [and] brought to silence;

 15:2 He is gone upºº to Bayi± בַּיִת,º and to Dîvôn דִּיבוֹן,º the high places,º to weep:º Mô´äv מוֹאָבº shall howlºº overº Nævô נְבוֹ,º and overº Mêðvä´ מֵידבָא:º on allº their headsº [shall be] baldness,º [and] everyº beardº cut off.ººº

 15:2 He is gone up to Bayith, and to Divon, the high places, to weep: Moav shall howl over Nevo, and over Medva: on all their heads [shall be] baldness, [and] every beard cut off.

 15:3 In their streetsº they shall girdºº themselves with sackcloth:º onº the topsº of their houses,º and in their streets,º every oneº shall howl,ºº weepingº abundantly.ºº

 15:3 In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly.

 15:4 And Çešbôn חֶשׁבּוֹןº shall cry,ºº and ´El`älì אֶלעָלֵה:º their voiceº shall be heardºº [even] untoº Yahax יַהַץ:º thereforeºº the armed soldiersºº of Mô´äv מוֹאָבº shall cry out;ºº his lifeº shall be grievousºº unto him.

 15:4 And Cheshbon shall cry, and Elaleh: their voice shall be heard [even] unto Yahatz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moav shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.

 15:5 My heartº shall cryº outºº for Mô´äv מוֹאָב;º his fugitivesº [shall flee] untoº Xö`ar צֹעַר,º an heiferº of three years old:º forº by the mounting upº of Lûçî± לוּחִיתº with weepingº shall they go it up;ºº forº in the wayº of Çôrönayim חוֹרֹנַיִםº they shall raise upºº a cryº of destruction.º

 15:5 My heart shall cry out for Moav; his fugitives [shall flee] unto Tzoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luchith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Choronayim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.

 15:6 Forº the watersº of Nimrîm נִמרִיםº shall beº desolate:º forº the hayº is withered away,ºº the grassº faileth,ºº there isº noº green thing.º

 15:6 For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.

 15:7 Thereforeºº the abundanceº they have gotten,ºº and that which they have laid up,º shall they carry awayºº toº the brookº of the willows.º

 15:7 Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.

 15:8 Forº the cryº is gone roundº aboutººº the bordersº of Mô´äv מוֹאָב;º the howlingºº thereof untoº ´Eqlayim אֶגלַיִם,º and the howlingºº thereof unto Bæ´ër ´Êlîm בְּאֵר־אֵילִים.º

 15:8 For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moav; the howling thereof unto Eglayim, and the howling thereof unto Beer-Elim.

 15:9 Forº the watersº of Dîmôn דִּימוֹןº shall be fullºº of blood:º forº I will bringºº moreºº uponº Dîmôn דִּימוֹן,º lionsº upon him that escapethº of Mô´äv מוֹאָב,º and upon the remnantº of the land.º

 15:9 For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moav, and upon the remnant of the land.
