 20:1 ¶ In the year° that Tartän תַּרתָּן° came°° unto ´Ašdôđ אַשׁדּוֹד,° (when Sarqôn סַרגוֹן° the king° of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּר° sent°° him,) and fought°° against ´Ašdôđ אַשׁדּוֹד,° and took°° it;

 20:1 ¶ In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Ashshur sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;

 20:2 At the same° time° spake°° Yähwè יָהוֶה° by° Yæša`yà יְשַׁעיָה° the son° of ´Ämôx אָמוֹץ,° saying,°° Go°°° and loose°° the sackcloth° from off°° thy loins,° and put off°° thy shoe° from°° thy foot.° And he did° so,°°° walking°° naked° and barefoot.°

 20:2 At the same time spake Yahweh by Yeshayah the son of Amotz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

 20:3 And Yähwè יָהוֶה° said,°° Like as° my servant° Yæša`yà יְשַׁעיָה° hath walked°° naked° and barefoot° three° years° [for] a sign° and wonder° upon° Mixrayim מִצרַיִם° and upon° Cûš כּוּשׁ;°

 20:3 And Yahweh said, Like as my servant Yeshayah hath walked naked and barefoot three years [for] a sign and wonder upon Mitzrayim and upon Kush;

 20:4 So° shall the king° of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּר° lead away°°° the Mixrîm מִצרִים° prisoners,° and the Cûšîm כּוּשִׁים° captives,° young° and old,° naked° and barefoot,° even with [their] buttocks° uncovered,°° to the shame° of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.°

 20:4 So shall the king of Ashshur lead away the Mitzrim prisoners, and the Kushim captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with [their] buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Mitzrayim.

 20:5 And they shall be afraid°° and ashamed°° of Cûš כּוּשׁ°° their expectation,° and of° Mixrayim מִצרַיִם° their glory.°

 20:5 And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Kush their expectation, and of Mitzrayim their glory.

 20:6 And the inhabitant°° of this° isle° shall say°° in that° day,° Behold,° such° [is] our expectation,° whither°° we flee°° for help° to be delivered°° from°° the king° of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּר:° and how° shall we° escape?°°

 20:6 And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such [is] our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Ashshur: and how shall we escape?
