that thirsteth,º

ye to the waters,º
and he thatº
hath noº
money;º
comeººº
ye, buy,ºº
and eat;ºº
yea, come,ººº
buyºº
wineº
and milkº
withoutº
moneyº
and withoutº

55:1 ¶
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. |

Whereforeº
do ye spendºº
moneyº
for [that which is] notº
bread?º
and your labourº
for [that which] satisfiethº
not?º
hearkenºº
diligentlyºº
untoº
me, and eatºº
ye [that which is] good,º
and let your soulº
delightºº
itselfº
in fatness.º |

Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. |

Inclineºº
your ear,º
and comeººº
untoº
me: hear,ºº
and your soulº
shall live;ºº
and I will makeºº
an everlastingº
covenantº
with you, [even] the sureºº
merciesº
of
Däwið
דָּוִד.º |

55:3
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of Dawid. |

55:4
Behold,º
I have givenºº
him [for] a witnessº
to the people,º
a leaderº
and commanderºº
to the people.º |
|
55:4
Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. |
|
55:5
Behold,º
thou shalt callºº
a nationº
[that] thou knowestºº
not,º
and nationsº
[that] knewºº
notº
thee shall runºº
untoº
thee becauseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
and for the Holy Oneº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;º
forº
he hath glorifiedºº
thee. |

55:5
Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee because of Yahweh thy Elohim, and for the Holy One of Yisrael; for he hath glorified thee. |
|
55:6 ¶
Seekºº
ye
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
while he may be found,ºº
callºº
ye upon him while he isº
near:º |
|
55:6 ¶
Seek ye Yahweh while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: |

55:7
Let the wickedº
forsakeºº
his way,º
and the unrighteousº
manº
his thoughts:º
and let him returnºº
untoº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and he will have mercyºº
upon him; and toº
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
forº
he will abundantlyºº
pardon.ºº |

55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahweh, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Elohim, for he will abundantly pardon. |

55:8 ¶
Forº
my thoughtsº
[are] notº
your thoughts,º
neitherº
[are] your waysº
my ways,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

55:8 ¶
For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith Yahweh. |

55:9
Forº
[as] the heavensº
are higherºº
than the earth,ºº
soº
are my waysº
higherººº
than your ways,ºº
and my thoughtsº
than your thoughts.ºº |

55:9
For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. |

55:10
Forº
asº
the rainº
cometh down,ºº
and the snowº
fromº
heaven,º
and returnethºº
notº
thither,º
butºº
waterethººº
the earth,º
and maketh it bring forthºº
and bud,ºº
that it may giveºº
seedº
to the sower,ºº
and breadº
to the eater:ºº |

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: |

Soº
shall my wordº
beº
thatº
goeth forthºº
out of my mouth:ºº
it shall notº
returnºº
untoº
me void,º
butºº
it shall accomplishººº
that whichº
I please,ºº
and it shall prosperºº
[in the thing] wheretoº
I sentºº
it. |

55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. |

Forº
ye shall go outºº
with joy,º
and be led forthºº
with peace:º
the mountainsº
and the hillsº
shall break forthºº
beforeº
you into singing,º
and allº
the treesº
of the fieldº
shall clapºº
[their] hands.º |
|
55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands. |

55:13
Insteadº
of the thornº
shall come upºº
the fir tree,º
and insteadº
of the brierº
shall come upºº
the myrtle tree:º
and it shall beº
to
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
for a name,º
for an everlastingº
signº
[that] shall notº
be cut off.ºº |

55:13
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to Yahweh for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off. |
