Psalms 102

1 The prophet in his prayer maketh a grievous complaint. 12 He taketh comfort in the eternity and mercy of God. 18 The mercies of God are to be recorded. 23 He sustaineth his weakness by the unchangeableness of God.

 102:1 [[A Prayer of the Afflicted when he is faint and pours out his complaint before the LORD.]] Hear 8085 my prayer 8605, O LORD 3068! And let my cry 7775 for help 7775 come 935 to You.

 102:2 Do not hide 5641 Your face 6440 from me in the day 3117 of my distress 6862b; Incline 5186 Your ear 241 to me; In the day 3117 when I call 7121 answer 6030a me quickly 4118b.

 102:3 For my days 3117 have been 3615 consumed 3615 in smoke 6227, And my bones 6106 have been scorched 2787 like a hearth 4168.

 102:4 My heart 3820 has been smitten 5221 like grass 6212a and has withered 3001 away, Indeed 3588, I forget 7911 to eat 398 my bread 3899.

 102:5 Because 4480 of the loudness 6963 of my groaning 585 My bones 6106 cling 1692 to my flesh 1320.

 102:6 I resemble 1819 a pelican 6893 of the wilderness 4057b; I have become 1961 like an owl 3563b of the waste 2723 places 2723.

 102:7 I lie 8245 awake 8245, I have become 1961 like a lonely 909 bird 6833 on a housetop 1406.

 102:8 ¶ My enemies 340 have reproached 2778a me all 3605 day 3117 long; Those who deride 1984b me have used 7650 my [name] as a curse 7650.

 102:9 For I have eaten 398 ashes 665 like bread 3899 And mingled 4537 my drink 8250 with weeping 1065

 102:10 Because 4480 6440 of Your indignation 2195 and Your wrath 7110a, For You have lifted 5375 me up and cast 7993 me away 7993.

 102:11 My days 3117 are like a lengthened 5186 shadow 6738, And I wither 3001 away like grass 6212a.

 102:12 ¶ But You, O LORD 3068, abide 3427 forever 5769, And Your name 2143 to all 1755 generations 1755.

 102:13 You will arise 6965 [and] have 7355 compassion 7355 on Zion 6726; For it is time 6256 to be gracious 2603a to her, For the appointed 4150 time 4150 has come 935.

 102:14 Surely 3588 Your servants 5650 find 7521 pleasure 7521 in her stones 68 And feel 2603a pity 2603a for her dust 6083.

 102:15 So the nations 1471 will fear 3372a the name 8034 of the LORD 3068 And all 3605 the kings 4428 of the earth 776 Your glory 3519b.

 102:16 For the LORD 3068 has built 1129 up Zion 6726; He has appeared 7200 in His glory 3519b.

 102:17 He has regarded 6437 the prayer 8605 of the destitute 6199 And has not despised 959 their prayer 8605.

 102:18 ¶ This 384 will be written 3789 for the generation 1755 to come 314, That a people 5971a yet to be created 1254a may praise 1984b the LORD 3050.

 102:19 For He looked 8259 down 8259 from His holy 6944 height 4791; From heaven 8064 the LORD 3068 gazed 5027 upon the earth 776,

 102:20 To hear 8085 the groaning 603 of the prisoner 615, To set 6605a free 6605a those 1121 who 1121 were doomed 1121 to death 8546,

 102:21 That [men] may tell 5608 of the name 8034 of the LORD 3068 in Zion 6726 And His praise 8416 in Jerusalem 3389,

 102:22 When the peoples 5971a are gathered 6908 together 3164a, And the kingdoms 4467, to serve 5647 the LORD 3068.

 102:23 ¶ He has weakened 6031a my strength 3581b in the way 1870; He has shortened 7114a my days 3117.

 102:24 I say 559, “O my God 410, do not take 5927 me away 5927 in the midst 2677 of my days 3117, Your years 8141 are throughout all 1755 generations 1755.

 102:25 “Of old 6440 You founded 3245 the earth 776, And the heavens 8064 are the work 4639 of Your hands 3027.

 102:26 “Even they will perish 6, but You endure 5975; And all 3605 of them will wear 1086 out like a garment 899b; Like clothing 3830 You will change 2498 them and they will be changed 2498.

 102:27 “But You are the same 1931, And Your years 8141 will not come 8552 to an end 8552.

 102:28 “The children 1121 of Your servants 5650 will continue 7931, And their descendants 2233 will be established 3559 before 6440 You.”
