Psalms 41

1 God's care for the poor. 4 David complaineth of his enemies' treachery. 10 He fleeth to God for succour.

 41:1 [[For the choir director. A Psalm of David.]] How blessed 835 is he who considers 7919a the helpless 1800b; The LORD 3068 will deliver 4422 him in a day 3117 of trouble 7463a.

 41:2 The LORD 3068 will protect 8104 him and keep 2421a him alive 2421a, And he shall be called 833 blessed 833 upon the earth 776; And do not give 5414 him over to the desire 5315 of his enemies 340.

 41:3 The LORD 3068 will sustain 5582 him upon his sickbed 1741 6210; In his illness 2483, You restore 2015 him to health 3605 4904.

 41:4 ¶ As for me, I said 559, “O LORD 3068, be gracious 2603a to me; Heal 7495 my soul 5315, for I have sinned 2398 against You.”

 41:5 My enemies 340 speak 559 evil 7451b against me, “When 4970 will he die 4191, and his name 8034 perish 6?”

 41:6 And when 518 he comes 935 to see 7200 [me], he speaks 1696 falsehood 7723; His heart 3820 gathers 6908 wickedness 205 to itself; When he goes 3318 outside 2351, he tells 1696 it.

 41:7 All 3605 who hate 8130 me whisper 3907 together 3162 against 5921 me; Against 5921 me they devise 2803 my hurt 7463a, [saying],

 41:8 “A wicked 1100 thing 1697 is poured 3332 out upon him, That when 834 he lies 7901 down 7901, he will not rise 6965 up again 3254.”

 41:9 Even 1571 my close 7965 friend 376 7965 in whom 834 I trusted 982, Who ate 398 my bread 3899, Has lifted 1431 up his heel 6119 against 5921 me.

 41:10 ¶ But You, O LORD 3068, be gracious 2603a to me and raise 6965 me up, That I may repay 7999a them.

 41:11 By this 384 I know 3045 that You are pleased 2654a with me, Because 3588 my enemy 340 does not shout 7321 in triumph 7321 over 5921 me.

 41:12 As for me, You uphold 8551 me in my integrity 8537, And You set 5324 me in Your presence 6440 forever 5769.

 41:13 ¶ Blessed 1288 be the LORD 3068, the God 430 of Israel 3478, From everlasting 5769 to everlasting 5769. Amen 543 and Amen 543.
