Psalms 2

1 The Kingdom of Christ. 10 Kings are exhorted to accept it.

 2:1 Why 4100 are the nations 1471 in an uproar 7283 And the peoples 3816 devising 1897 a vain 7385b thing 7385b?

 2:2 The kings 4428 of the earth 776 take 3320 their stand 3320 And the rulers 7336 take 3245 counsel 3245 together 3162 Against 5921 the LORD 3068 and against 5921 His Anointed 4899, saying,

 2:3 “Let us tear 5423 their fetters 4147 apart 5423 And cast 7993 away 7993 their cords 5688 from us!”

 2:4 ¶ He who sits 3427 in the heavens 8064 laughs 7832, The Lord 136 scoffs 3932 at them.

 2:5 Then 227 He will speak 1696 to them in His anger 639 And terrify 926 them in His fury 2740, saying,

 2:6 “But as for Me, I have installed 5258b My King 4428 Upon Zion 6726, My holy 6944 mountain 2022.”

 2:7 ¶ “I will surely 3588 tell 5608 of the decree 2706 of the LORD 3068: He said 559 to Me, ‘You are My Son 1121, Today 3117 I have begotten 3205 You.

 2:8 ‘Ask 7592 of Me, and I will surely give 5414 the nations 1471 as Your inheritance 5159, And the [very] ends 657 of the earth 776 as Your possession 272.

 2:9 ‘You shall break 7489b them with a rod 7626 of iron 1270, You shall shatter 5310a them like earthenware 3627 3335.’”

 2:10 ¶ Now 6258 therefore, O kings 4428, show 7919a discernment 7919a; Take 3256 warning 3256, O judges 8199 of the earth 776.

 2:11 Worship 5647 the LORD 3068 with reverence 3374 And rejoice 1523 with trembling 7461b.

 2:12 Do 5401a homage 5401a to the Son 1248, that He not become 599 angry 599, and you perish 6 [in] the way 1870, For His wrath 639 may soon 4592 be kindled 1197a. How blessed 835 are all 3605 who take 2620 refuge 2620 in Him!
