Psalms 3

The security of God's protection.

 3:1 [[A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.]] O LORD 3068, how 4100 my adversaries 6862c have increased 7231! Many 7227a are rising 6965 up against 5921 me.

 3:2 Many 7227a are saying 559 of my soul 5315, “There 369 is no 369 deliverance 3444 for him in God 430.” Selah 5542.

 3:3 ¶ But You, O LORD 3068, are a shield 4043 about 1157 me, My glory 3519b, and the One who lifts 7311 my head 7218.

 3:4 I was crying 7121 to the LORD 3068 with my voice 6963, And He answered 6030a me from His holy 6944 mountain 2022. Selah 5542.

 3:5 I lay 7901 down 7901 and slept 3462; I awoke 7019a, for the LORD 3068 sustains 5564 me.

 3:6 I will not be afraid 3372a of ten 7233 thousands 7233 of people 5971a Who 834 have set 7896 themselves against 5921 me round 5439 about 5439.

 3:7 ¶ Arise 6965, O LORD 3068; save 3467 me, O my God 430! For You have smitten 5221 all 3605 my enemies 340 on the cheek 3895; You have shattered 7665 the teeth 8127 of the wicked 7563.

 3:8 Salvation 3444 belongs to the LORD 3068; Your blessing 1293 [be] upon Your people 5971a! Selah 5542.
