Psalms 5

1 David prayeth, and profeseth his study in prayer. 4 God favoureth not the wicked. 7 David, professing his faith, prayeth unto God to guide him, 10 to destroy his enemies, 11 and to preserve the godly.

 5:1 [[For the choir director; for flute accompaniment. A Psalm of David.]] Give 238 ear 238 to my words 561, O LORD 3068, Consider 995 my groaning 1901.

 5:2 Heed 7181 the sound 6963 of my cry 7768 for help 7773, my King 4428 and my God 430, For to You I pray 6419.

 5:3 In the morning 1242, O LORD 3068, You will hear 8085 my voice 6963; In the morning 1242 I will order 6186a [my] [prayer] to You and [eagerly] watch 6822.

 5:4 ¶ For You are not a God 410 who takes 2655 pleasure 2655 in wickedness 7562; No 3808 evil 7451b dwells 1481a with You.

 5:5 The boastful 1984b shall not stand 3320 before 5048 Your eyes 5869; You hate 8130 all 3605 who do 6466 iniquity 205.

 5:6 You destroy 6 those who speak 1696 falsehood 3577; The LORD 3068 abhors 8581 the man 376 of bloodshed 1818 and deceit 4820.

 5:7 But as for me, by Your abundant 7230 lovingkindness 2617a I will enter 935 Your house 1004, At Your holy 6944 temple 1964 I will bow 7812 in reverence 3374 for You.

 5:8 ¶ O LORD 3068, lead 5148 me in Your righteousness 6666 because 4616 of my foes 7796b; Make 3474 Your way 1870 straight 3474 before 6440 me.

 5:9 There 369 is nothing 369 reliable 3559 in what 6310 they say 6310; Their inward 7130 part 7130 is destruction 1942 [itself]. Their throat 1627 is an open 6605a grave 6913; They flatter 2505b with their tongue 3956.

 5:10 Hold 816 them guilty 816, O God 430; By their own devices 4156 let them fall 5307! In the multitude 7230 of their transgressions 6588 thrust 5080 them out, For they are rebellious 4784 against You.

 5:11 ¶ But let all 3605 who take 2620 refuge 2620 in You be glad 8055, Let them ever 5769 sing 7442 for joy 7442; And may You shelter 5526a them, That those who love 157 Your name 8034 may exult 5970 in You.

 5:12 For it is You who blesses 1288 the righteous 6662 man 6662, O LORD 3068, You surround 5849a him with favor 7522 as with a shield 6793c.
