Psalms 39
1 David's care of his thoughts. 4 The consideration of the brevity and vanity of life, 7 the reverence of God's judgments, 10 and prayer, are his bridles of impatience.

39:1
[[For the choir director, for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.]] I said 559, “I will guard 8104 my ways 1870 That I may not sin 2398 with my tongue 3956; I will guard 8104 my mouth 6310 as with a muzzle 4269 While 5750 the wicked 7563 are in my presence 5048.”

39:2
I was mute 481 and silent 1747, I refrained 2814 [even] from good 2896b, And my sorrow 3511 grew 5916 worse 5916.

39:3
My heart 3820 was hot 2552 within 7130 me, While I was musing 1901 the fire 784 burned 1197a; [Then] I spoke 1696 with my tongue 3956:

39:4
“LORD 3068, make me to know 3045 my end 7093 And what 4100 is the extent 4060a of my days 3117; Let me know 3045 how 4100 transient 2310 I am.

39:5
“Behold 2009, You have made 5414 my days 3117 [as] handbreadths 2947, And my lifetime 2465 as nothing 369 in Your sight 5048; Surely 389 every 3605 man 120 at his best 5324 is a mere 3605 breath 1892. Selah 5542.

39:6
“Surely 389 every 376 man 376 walks 1980 about as a phantom 6754; Surely 389 they make 1993 an uproar 1993 for nothing 1892; He amasses 6651 [riches] and does not know 3045 who 4310 will gather 622 them.

39:7
¶ “And now 6258, Lord 136, for what 4100 do I wait 6960a? My hope 8431 is in You.

39:8
“Deliver 5337 me from all 3605 my transgressions 6588; Make 7760 me not the reproach 2781 of the foolish 5036.

39:9
“I have become 481 mute 481, I do not open 6605a my mouth 6310, Because 3588 it is You who have done 6213a [it].

39:10
“Remove 5493 Your plague 5061 from me; Because 4480 of the opposition 8409 of Your hand 3027 I am perishing 3615.

39:11
“With reproofs 8433b You chasten 3256 a man 376 for iniquity 5771; You consume 4529 as a moth 6211 what is precious 2530 to him; Surely 389 every 3605 man 120 is a mere 1892 breath 1892. Selah 5542.

39:12
¶ “Hear 8085 my prayer 8605, O LORD 3068, and give 238 ear 238 to my cry 7775; Do not be silent 2790b at my tears 1832; For I am a stranger 1616 with You, A sojourner 8453 like all 3605 my fathers 1.

39:13
“Turn 8159 Your gaze 8159 away 8159 from me, that I may smile 1082 [again] Before 2962 I depart 1980 and am no 369 more 369.”
