Psalms 16

1 David, in distrust of merits, and hatred of idolatry, fleeth to God for preservation. 5 He sheweth the hope of his calling, of the resurrection, and life everlasting.

 16:1 [[A Mikhtam of David.]] Preserve 8104 me, O God 410, for I take 2620 refuge 2620 in You.

 16:2 I said 559 to the LORD 3068, “You are my Lord 136; I have no 1077 good 2899b besides 5921 You.”

 16:3 As for the saints 6918 who 834 are in the earth 776, They are the majestic 117 ones 117 in whom is all 3605 my delight 2656.

 16:4 The sorrows 6094 of those who have bartered 4117 for another 312 [god] will be multiplied 7235a; I shall not pour 5258a out their drink 5262a offerings 5262a of blood 1818, Nor 1077 will I take 5375 their names 8034 upon my lips 8193.

 16:5 ¶ The LORD 3068 is the portion 4521 of my inheritance 2506 and my cup 3563a; You support 8551 my lot 1486.

 16:6 The lines 2256a have fallen 5307 to me in pleasant 5273a places; Indeed 637, my heritage 5159 is beautiful 8231b to me.

 16:7 ¶ I will bless 1288 the LORD 3068 who 834 has counseled 3289 me; Indeed 637, my mind 3629 instructs 3256 me in the night 3915.

 16:8 I have set 7737b the LORD 3068 continually 8548 before 5048 me; Because 3588 He is at my right 3225 hand 3225, I will not be shaken 4131.

 16:9 Therefore 3651 my heart 3820 is glad 8055 and my glory 3519b rejoices 1523; My flesh 1320 also 637 will dwell 7931 securely 983.

 16:10 For You will not abandon 5800a my soul 5315 to Sheol 7585; Nor 3808 will You allow 5414 Your Holy 2623 One 2623 to undergo 7845 decay 7845.

 16:11 You will make 3045 known 3045 to me the path 734 of life 2425b; In Your presence 6440 is fullness 7648 of joy 8057; In Your right 3225 hand 3225 there are pleasures 5273a forever 5331.
