Psalms 85

1 The psalmist, out of the experience of former mercies, prayeth for the continuance thereof. 8 He promiseth to wait thereon, out of confidence of God's goodness.

 85:1 [[For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.]] O LORD 3068, You showed 7521 favor 7521 to Your land 776; You restored 7521 the captivity 7622 of Jacob 3290.

 85:2 You forgave 5375 the iniquity 5771 of Your people 5971a; You covered 3680 all 3605 their sin 2403b. Selah 5542.

 85:3 You withdrew 622 all 3605 Your fury 5678; You turned 7725 away 7725 from Your burning 2740 anger 639.

 85:4 ¶ Restore 7725 us, O God 430 of our salvation 3468, And cause Your indignation 3708a toward 5973 us to cease 6565a.

 85:5 Will You be angry 599 with us forever 5769? Will You prolong 4900 Your anger 639 to all 1755 generations 1755?

 85:6 Will You not Yourself 859 revive 2421a us again 7725, That Your people 5971a may rejoice 8055 in You?

 85:7 Show 7200 us Your lovingkindness 2617a, O LORD 3068, And grant 5414 us Your salvation 3468.

 85:8 ¶ I will hear 8085 what 4100 God 410 the LORD 3068 will say 1696; For He will speak 1696 peace 7965 to His people 5971a, to His godly 2623 ones 2623; But let them not turn 7725 back 7725 to folly 3690.

 85:9 Surely 389 His salvation 3468 is near 7138 to those who fear 3372a Him, That glory 3519b may dwell 7931 in our land 776.

 85:10 Lovingkindness 2617a and truth 571 have met 6298 together; Righteousness 6664 and peace 7965 have kissed 5401a each other.

 85:11 Truth 571 springs 6779 from the earth 776, And righteousness 6664 looks 8259 down 8259 from heaven 8064.

 85:12 Indeed 1571, the LORD 3068 will give 5414 what 2896b is good 2896b, And our land 776 will yield 5414 its produce 2981.

 85:13 Righteousness 6664 will go 1980 before 6440 Him And will make 7760 His footsteps 6471 into a way 1870.
