Psalms 147

1 The prophet exhorteth to praise God for his care of the Church, 4 his power, 6 and his mercy: 7 to praise him for his providence: 12 to praise him for his blessings upon the Kingdom, 15 for his power over the meteors, 19 and for his ordinances in the Church.

 147:1 Praise 1984b the LORD 3050! For it is good 2896a to sing 2167 praises 2167 to our God 430; For it is pleasant 5273a [and] praise 8416 is becoming 5000.

 147:2 The LORD 3068 builds 1129 up Jerusalem 3389; He gathers 3664 the outcasts 5080 of Israel 3478.

 147:3 He heals 7495 the brokenhearted 7665 3820 And binds 2280 up their wounds 6094.

 147:4 He counts 4487 the number 4557 of the stars 3556; He gives 7121 names 8034 to all 3605 of them.

 147:5 Great 1419 is our Lord 136 and abundant 7227a in strength 3581b; His understanding 8394 is infinite 369 4557.

 147:6 The LORD 3068 supports 5749a the afflicted 6035; He brings 8213 down 8213 the wicked 7563 to the ground 776.

 147:7 ¶ Sing 6031b to the LORD 3068 with thanksgiving 8426; Sing 2167 praises 2167 to our God 430 on the lyre 3658,

 147:8 Who covers 3680 the heavens 8064 with clouds 5645, Who provides 3559 rain 4306 for the earth 776, Who makes grass 2682 to grow 6779 on the mountains 2022.

 147:9 He gives 5414 to the beast 929 its food 3899, [And] to the young 1121 ravens 6158 which 834 cry 7121.

 147:10 He does not delight 2654a in the strength 1369 of the horse 5483b; He does not take 7521 pleasure 7521 in the legs 7785 of a man 376.

 147:11 The LORD 3068 favors 7521 those who fear 3372a Him, Those who wait 3176 for His lovingkindness 2617a.

 147:12 ¶ Praise 7623b the LORD 3068, O Jerusalem 3389! Praise 1984b your God 430, O Zion 6726!

 147:13 For He has strengthened 2388 the bars 1280 of your gates 8179; He has blessed 1288 your sons 1121 within 7130 you.

 147:14 He makes 7760 peace 7965 in your borders 1366; He satisfies 7646 you with the finest 2459 of the wheat 2406.

 147:15 He sends 7971 forth His command 565a to the earth 776; His word 1697 runs 7323 very 5704 swiftly 4120.

 147:16 He gives 5414 snow 7950 like wool 6785; He scatters 6340 the frost 3713b like ashes 665.

 147:17 He casts 7993 forth His ice 7140 as fragments 6595; Who 4310 can stand 5975 before 6440 His cold 7135?

 147:18 He sends 7971 forth His word 1697 and melts 4529 them; He causes His wind 7307 to blow 5380 and the waters 4325 to flow 5140.

 147:19 He declares 5046 His words 1697 to Jacob 3290, His statutes 2706 and His ordinances 4941 to Israel 3478.

 147:20 He has not dealt 6213a thus 3651 with any 3605 nation 1471; And as for His ordinances 4941, they have not known 3045 them. Praise 1984b the LORD 3050!
