1 The majesty of God's Kingdom. 7 The Church rejoiceth at God's judgments upon idolaters. 10 An exhortation to goodness and gladness.

 97:1 The LORD 3068 reigns 4427a, let the earth 776 rejoice 1523; Let the many 7227a islands 339 be glad 8055.

 97:2 Clouds 6051 and thick 6205 darkness 6205 surround 5439 Him; Righteousness 6664 and justice 4941 are the foundation 4349 of His throne 3678.

 97:3 Fire 784 goes 1980 before 6440 Him And burns 3857 up His adversaries 6862c round 5439 about 5439.

 97:4 His lightnings 1300 lit 215 up the world 8398; The earth 776 saw 7200 and trembled 2342a.

 97:5 The mountains 2022 melted 4549 like wax 1749 at the presence 6440 of the LORD 3068, At the presence 6440 of the Lord 136 of the whole 3605 earth 776.

 97:6 The heavens 8064 declare 5046 His righteousness 6664, And all 3605 the peoples 5971a have seen 7200 His glory 3519b.

 97:7 ¶ Let all 3605 those be ashamed 954 who serve 5647 graven 6459 images 6459, Who boast 1984b themselves of idols 457; Worship 7812 Him, all 3605 you gods 430.

 97:8 Zion 6726 heard 8085 [this] and was glad 8055, And the daughters 1323 of Judah 3063 have rejoiced 1523 Because 4616 of Your judgments 4941, O LORD 3068.

 97:9 For You are the LORD 3068 Most 5945a High 5945b over 5921 all 3605 the earth 776; You are exalted 5927 far 3966 above 5921 all 3605 gods 430.

 97:10 ¶ Hate 8130 evil 7451b, you who love 157 the LORD 3068, Who preserves 8104 the souls 5315 of His godly 2623 ones 2623; He delivers 5337 them from the hand 3027 of the wicked 7563.

 97:11 Light 216 is sown 2232 [like seed] for the righteous 6662 And gladness 8057 for the upright 3477 in heart 3820.

 97:12 Be glad 8055 in the LORD 3068, you righteous 6662 ones 6662, And give 3034 thanks 3034 to His holy 6944 name 2143.
