Psalms 86

1 David strengtheneth his prayer by the conscience of his religion, 5 by the goodness and power of God. 11 He desireth the continuance of former grace. 14 Complaining of the proud, he craveth some token of God's goodness.

 86:1 [[A Prayer of David.]] Incline 5186 Your ear 241, O LORD 3068, [and] answer 6030a me; For I am afflicted 6041 and needy 34.

 86:2 Preserve 8104 my soul 5315, for I am a godly 2623 man 2623; O You my God 430, save 3467 Your servant 5650 who trusts 982 in You.

 86:3 Be gracious 2603a to me, O Lord 136, For to You I cry 7121 all 3605 day 3117 long.

 86:4 Make 8055 glad 8055 the soul 5315 of Your servant 5650, For to You, O Lord 136, I lift 5375 up my soul 5315.

 86:5 For You, Lord 136, are good 2896a, and ready 5546a to forgive 5546a, And abundant 7227a in lovingkindness 2617a to all 3605 who call 7121 upon You.

 86:6 Give 238 ear 238, O LORD 3068, to my prayer 8605; And give 7181 heed 7181 to the voice 6963 of my supplications 8469!

 86:7 In the day 3117 of my trouble 6869a I shall call 7121 upon You, For You will answer 6030a me.

 86:8 There 369 is no 369 one 369 like 3644 You among the gods 430, O Lord 136, Nor 369 are there 369 any works 4639 like Yours.

 86:9 All 3605 nations 1471 whom 834 You have made 6213a shall come 935 and worship 7812 before 6440 You, O Lord 136, And they shall glorify 3513 Your name 8034.

 86:10 For You are great 1419 and do 6213a wondrous 6381 deeds 6381; You alone 905 are God 430.

 86:11 ¶ Teach 3384 me Your way 1870, O LORD 3068; I will walk 1980 in Your truth 571; Unite 3161 my heart 3824 to fear 3372a Your name 8034.

 86:12 I will give 3034 thanks 3034 to You, O Lord 136 my God 430, with all 3605 my heart 3824, And will glorify 3513 Your name 8034 forever 5769.

 86:13 For Your lovingkindness 2617a toward 5921 me is great 1419, And You have delivered 5337 my soul 5315 from the depths 8482 of Sheol 7585.

 86:14 ¶ O God 430, arrogant 2086 men 2086 have risen 6965 up against 5921 me, And a band 5712 of violent 6184 men 6184 have sought 1245 my life 5315, And they have not set 7760 You before 5048 them.

 86:15 But You, O Lord 136, are a God 410 merciful 7349 and gracious 2587, Slow 750 to anger 639 and abundant 7227a in lovingkindness 2617a and truth 571.

 86:16 Turn 6437 to me, and be gracious 2603a to me; Oh grant 5414 Your strength 5797 to Your servant 5650, And save 3467 the son 1121 of Your handmaid 519.

 86:17 Show 6213a me a sign 226 for good 2899b, That those who hate 8130 me may see 7200 [it] and be ashamed 954, Because 3588 You, O LORD 3068, have helped 5826 me and comforted 5162 me.
