in thy strength,º

Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
and in thy salvationº

[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of Dawid.]] The king shall joy in thy strength, O Yahweh; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! |

Thou hast givenºº
him his heart'sº
desire,º
and hast notº
withholdenºº
the requestº
of his lips.º

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. |

thou preventestºº
him with the blessingsº
of goodness:º
thou settestºº
a crownº
of pure goldº
on his head.º |

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. |

lifeº

thee, [and] thou gavestºº
[it] him, [even] lengthº
of daysº
for everº
and ever.º |

He asked life of thee, [and] thou gavest [it] him, [even] length of days for ever and ever. |

His gloryº
[is] greatº
in thy salvation:º
honourº
and majestyº
hast thou laidºº
uponº
him. |

His glory [is] great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. |

thou hast madeºº
him most blessedº
for ever:º
thou hast madeºº
him exceeding gladºº
withº
thy countenance.º |

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. |

the kingº
trustethºº

Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and through the mercyº
of
`Elyôn
עֶליוֹןº
he shall notº
be moved.ºº |

21:7
For the king trusteth in Yahweh, and through the mercy of Elyon he shall not be moved. |

Thine handº
shall find outºº
allº
thine enemies:ºº
thy right handº
shall find outºº
those that hateºº
thee. |

21:8
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. |

Thou shalt makeºº
them as a fieryº
ovenº
in the timeº
of thine anger:º
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall swallow them upºº
in his wrath,º
and the fireº
shall devourºº
them. |

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: Yahweh shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. |

Their fruitº
shalt thou destroyºº
from the earth,ºº
and their seedº
from among the childrenºº
of men.º |

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. |

Forº
they intendedºº
evilº
againstº
thee: they imaginedºº
a mischievous device,º
[which] they are notº
ableºº
[to perform]. |

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, [which] they are not able [to perform]. |
|
21:12
Thereforeº
shalt thou makeºº
them turn their back,º
[when] thou shalt make readyºº
[thine arrows] upon thy stringsº
againstº
the faceº
of them. |

21:12
Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, [when] thou shalt make ready [thine arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them. |
|
21:13
Be thou exalted,ºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
in thine own strength:º
[so] will we singºº
and praiseºº
thy power.º |

Be thou exalted, Yahweh, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power. |
