O my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
I cryºº
in the daytime,º
but thou hearestºº
not;º
and in the night season,º
and am notº
silent.º |

O my Elohim, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. |
|

But thouº
[art] holy,º
[O thou] that inhabitestºº
the praisesº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

But thou [art] holy, [O thou] that inhabitest the praises of Yisrael. |
|

Our fathersº
trustedºº
in thee: they trusted,ºº
and thou didst deliverºº
them. |

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. |

They criedºº
untoº
thee, and were delivered:ºº
they trustedºº
in thee, and were notº
confounded.ºº |

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. |

But Iº
[am] a worm,º
and noº
man;º
a reproachº
of men,º
and despisedºº
of the people.º |

But I [am] a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. |

Allº
they that seeºº
me laughº
me to scorn:ºº
they shoot outººº
the lip,º
they shakeºº
the head,º

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying], |

He trustedºº

יָהוֶהº
[that] he would deliverºº
him: let him deliverºº
him, seeingº
he delightedºº
in him. |

He trusted on Yahweh [that] he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. |

Butº
thouº
[art] he that tookºº
me out of the womb:ºº
thou didst make me hopeºº
[when I was] uponº
my mother'sº
breasts.º |

But thou [art] he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope [when I was] upon my mother's breasts. |

thee from the womb:ºº

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou [art] my El from my mother's belly. |

me; forº
troubleº
[is] near;º

Be not far from me; for trouble [is] near; for [there is] none to help. |

Manyº
bullsº
have compassedºº
me: strongº

בָּשָׁןº
have beset me round.ºº |

Many bulls have compassed me: strong [bulls] of Bashan have beset me round. |

They gapedºº
uponº
me [with] their mouths,º
[as] a raveningºº
and a roaringºº
lion.º |

They gaped upon me [with] their mouths, [as] a ravening and a roaring lion. |

I am poured outºº
like water,º
and allº
my bonesº
are out of joint:ºº
my heartº
isº
like wax;º
it is meltedºº
in the midstº
of my bowels.º |

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. |

My strengthº
is dried upºº
like a potsherd;º
and my tongueº
cleavethºº
to my jaws;º
and thou hast broughtºº
me into the dustº
of death.º |

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. |

dogsº

me: the assemblyº
of the wickedºº
have inclosedºº
me: they piercedºººº
my handsº
and my feet.º |

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. |

I may tellºº

my bones:º
theyº
lookºº
[and] stareºº
upon me. |

I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me. |

my garmentsº
among them, and castºº
lotsº

my vesture.º |

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. |

But be notº

farºº
from me, O
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
O my strength,º
hasteºº
thee to helpº
me. |

But be not thou far from me, O Yahweh: O my strength, haste thee to help me. |

Deliverºº
my soulº
from the sword;ºº
my darlingº
from the powerºº
of the dog.º |
|

Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. |

Saveºº
me from the lion'sº
mouth:ºº
for thou hast heardºº
me from the hornsºº
of the unicorns.º |

Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. |

unto my brethren:º

of the congregationº

Ye that fear Yahweh, praise him; all ye the seed of Yaaqov, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Yisrael. |

he hath notº
despisedºº
norº
abhorredºº
the afflictionº
of the afflicted;º
neitherº
hath he hidºº
his faceº
fromº
him; but when he criedºº
untoº
him, he heard.ºº |

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. |

My praiseº
[shall be] ofºº
thee in the greatº
congregation:º
I will payºº
my vowsº
beforeº
them that fearº
him. |

My praise [shall be] of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. |

The meekº
shall eatºº
and be satisfied:ºº
they shall praiseºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
that seekºº
him: your heartº
shall liveºº
for ever.º |

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise Yahweh that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. |

the endsº
of the worldº
shall rememberºº
and turnºº
untoº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
and allº
the kindredsº
of the nationsº
shall worshipºº
beforeº
thee. |

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto Yahweh: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. |
|

the kingdomº
[is]
Yähwè's
יָהוֶה:º
and he [is] the governorºº
among the nations.º |
|
22:28
For the kingdom [is] Yahweh's: and he [is] the governor among the nations. |
|
22:29
Allº
[they that be] fatº
upon earthº
shall eatºº
and worship:ºº
allº
they that go downºº
to the dustº
shall bowºº
beforeº
him: and noneº
can keep aliveºº
his own soul.º |
|
22:29
All [they that be] fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. |

22:30
A seedº
shall serveºº
him; it shall be accountedºº
to
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
for a generation.º |
|
22:30
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to Yahweh for a generation. |
|
22:31
They shall come,ºº
and shall declareºº
his righteousnessº
unto a peopleº
that shall be born,ºº
thatº
he hath doneºº
[this]. |
|
22:31
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done [this]. |
