I will be gladºº
and rejoiceºº
in thee: I will sing praiseºº
to thy name,º
O thou

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Elyon. |

When mine enemiesºº
are turnedºº
back,º
they shall fallºº
and perishºº
at thy presence.ºº |

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. |

Forº
thou hast maintainedºº
my rightº
and my cause;º
thou satestºº
in the throneº
judgingºº

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. |

Thou hast rebukedºº
the heathen,º
thou hast destroyedºº
the wicked,º
thou hast put outºº
their nameº
for everº
and ever.º |

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. |

O thou enemy,ºº
destructionsº
are come to a perpetualº
end:ººº
and thou hast destroyedºº
cities;ººº
their memorialº
is perishedºº

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. |

But
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall endureºº
for ever:º
he hath preparedºº
his throneº
for judgment.º |

But Yahweh shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. |

9:8
And heº
shall judgeºº
the worldº
in righteousness,º
he shall minister judgmentºº
to the peopleº
in uprightness.º |
|
9:8
And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. |

Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
also will beº
a refugeº
for the oppressed,º
a refugeº
in timesº
of trouble.º |

Yahweh also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. |

And they that knowºº
thy nameº
will put their trustºº
in thee: forº
thou,

יָהוֶה,º
hast notº
forsakenºº
them that seekºº
thee. |

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Yahweh, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. |

Sing praisesºº
to
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
which dwellethºº
in
Xiyyôn
צִיּוֹן:º
declareºº
among the peopleº
his doings.º |

Sing praises to Yahweh, which dwelleth in Tziyyon: declare among the people his doings. |

Whenº
he maketh inquisitionºº
for blood,º
he rememberethºº
them: he forgettethºº
notº
the cryº
of the humble.ººº |

When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. |

Have mercyºº
upon me, O
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
considerºº
my troubleº
[which I suffer] of them that hateººº
me, thou that liftest me upºº
from the gatesºº
of death:º |

Have mercy upon me, O Yahweh; consider my trouble [which I suffer] of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: |

I may shew forthºº

thy praiseº
in the gatesº
of the daughterº

צִיּוֹן:º
I will rejoiceºº
in thy salvation.º |

That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Tziyyon: I will rejoice in thy salvation. |

The heathenº
are sunk downºº
in the pitº
[that] they made:ºº
in the netº
whichº
they hidºº
is their own footº

The heathen are sunk down in the pit [that] they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. |

יָהוֶהº
is knownºº
[by] the judgmentº
[which] he executeth:ºº
the wickedº
is snaredººº
in the workº
of his own hands.º

Yahweh is known [by] the judgment [which] he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgayon. Selah. |

The wickedº
shall be turnedºº
into hell,º
[and] allº
the nationsº
that forgetº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |
|
9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget Elohim. |
|
9:18
Forº
the needyº
shall notº
alwayº
be forgotten:ºº
the expectationº
of the poorººº
shall [not] perishºº
for ever.º |
|
9:18
For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall [not] perish for ever. |

Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
let notº
manº
prevail:ºº
let the heathenº
be judgedºº
inº
thy sight.º |

Arise, O Yahweh; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. |

them in fear,ºº

[that] the nationsº

[to be but] men.º
