עֶליוֹןº
shall abideºº
under the shadowº
of
Šadday
שַׁדַּי.º |

91:1 ¶
He that dwelleth in the secret place of Elyon shall abide under the shadow of Shadday. |
|
91:2
I will sayºº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
[He is] my refugeº
and my fortress:º
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים;º
in him will I trust.ºº |
|
91:2
I will say of Yahweh, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my Elohim; in him will I trust. |
|
91:3
Surelyº
heº
shall deliverºº
thee from the snareºº
of the fowler,º
[and] from the noisomeº
pestilence.ººº |
|
91:3
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence. |
|
91:4
He shall coverºº
thee with his feathers,º
and underº
his wingsº
shalt thou trust:ºº
his truthº
[shall be thy] shieldº
and buckler.º |
|
91:4
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. |
|
91:5
Thou shalt notº
be afraidºº
for the terrorºº
by night;º
[nor] for the arrowºº
[that] fliethºº
by day;º |

91:5
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; |
|
91:6
[Nor] for the pestilenceºº
[that] walkethºº
in darkness;º
[nor] for the destructionºº
[that] wastethºº
at noonday.º |
|
91:6
[Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday. |

91:7
A thousandº
shall fallºº
at thy side,ºº
and ten thousandº
at thy right hand;ºº
[but] it shall notº
come nighººº
thee. |
|
91:7
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee. |
|
91:8
Onlyº
with thine eyesº
shalt thou beholdºº
and seeºº
the rewardº
of the wicked.º |
|
91:8
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. |

Becauseº
thouº
hast madeºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
[which is] my refuge,º
[even]
`Elyôn
עֶליוֹן,º
thy habitation;º |

91:9
Because thou hast made Yahweh, [which is] my refuge, [even] Elyon, thy habitation; |

91:10
There shall noº
evilº
befallººº
thee, neitherº
shall any plagueº
come nighºº
thy dwelling.º |
|
91:10
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. |
|
91:11
Forº
he shall give his angelsº
chargeºº
over thee, to keepºº
thee in allº
thy ways.º |
|
91:11
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. |
|
91:12
They shall bear thee upºº
inº
[their] hands,º
lestº
thou dashºº
thy footº
against a stone.º |
|
91:12
They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. |
|
91:13
Thou shalt treadºº
uponº
the lionº
and adder:º
the young lionº
and the dragonº
shalt thou trample under feet.ºº |
|
91:13
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. |
|
91:14
Becauseº
he hath set his loveºº
upon me, therefore will I deliverºº
him: I will set him on high,ºº
becauseº
he hath knownºº
my name.º |
|
91:14
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. |
|
91:15
He shall callºº
uponº
me, and I will answerºº
him: Iº
[will be] withº
him in trouble;º
I will deliverºº
him, and honourºº
him. |
|
91:15
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. |
|
91:16
With longº
lifeº
will I satisfyºº
him, and shewºº
him my salvation.º |
|
91:16
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. |
